Yes another post about the 1970's. Cool, right? This time it's about one of my favorite songs from that time. It's called Easy by the Commodores. I'm kinda sure you've already heard of them but just incase you haven't, they were a funk/soul band and were famous in the late 70's and the 80's. Need to know more about them? A quick search will tell you all you need to know. Also Lionel Richie was one of the members. And you most likely probably heard Brick House and Easy at some point in your life. Easy is my absolute favorite out of all of them. Why? You ask. They have plenty of nice songs, you say. Well, this song just makes me feel good and sounds freaking fantastic. As i'm typing this, I have the song playing! Not that their other songs are bad or anything, i'm definitely not saying that shit. I'll let you guys listen to Easy now or if you have Spotify, you can listen to it there. Such an amazing song.... Sesame Street aired in 1969 for those who don't know. Also hi! I've been busy so I haven't been able to post much on here. You guys know how I am with this site.... Even just mentioning the name I smile. Sesame Street was co-created by Joan Ganz Cooney and starred Jim Henson's muppets along with actual human actresses and actors, it premiered November 10th 1969. Don't know who that man is? WTF?! JIM HENSON CREATED THE FREAKING MUPPETS! HE WAS AMAZING AND SWEET AND A GENIUS AND JUST UGH. Read up about him sometime, okay? The muppets on the show were: Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Bert & Ernie, and others, just too many to put. It also sometimes had "Muppet with Kid" segments or moments which were pretty damn adorable. Which brings me to talk about..... Kermit the Frog and this little girl named Joey! If you're thinking "What the hell does she mean Kermit The Frog? He wasn't on Sesame Street!" Actually he was. He was originally on Sesame Street (during of course, the 70's) before moving on to do The Muppet Show and various other movies/shows. Kermit then only made brief appearances on the show before they stopped showing him on there altogether. On one episode, (I think she appeared more than once..) they had this segment where Kermit asked this little girl if she knew her ABC's and yup she knows them, so he asked if she could sing it for him and she replied "Yes. Yes I could." and what ensued later on was the most hilarious and adorable thing I saw this week and the week before....and I watched this a lot. Make sure to hit that subscribe button if you like them. :3
